Director of Human Resources, Law Society of Ireland. Barbara has been working in a senior Human Resources role for more than 20 years and her background combines both consulting and management. She has worked with the Law Society of Ireland since 2018 and oversees the Human Resources, People and Culture agenda. Her background is Professional Services, Fin Tech, Financial Services and Tourism. She holds a BA (HRM) from NCI, Advanced Diploma in Employment Law from LSI, MBS from UCC and is a qualified Executive Coach. In recent years she has found changes to ways of work both challenging and hugely exciting. She has managed large transformation projects and finds it very rewarding seeing them through to fruition. She believes that great leadership is dynamic, ‘while its important to be big thinking, a leader should be responsive and have the confidence to adapt to followership needs and new circumstances – everyone should be open to new experiences and be prepared to grow and evolve in order to be their best selves. In a world of worriers, be a warrior.’
